Algorfa is another of the Vega Baja villages located in rich and bountiful countryside on the
banks of the Segura river in the Southern Costa Blanca region of Spain and is part of the
Commuidad de Valencia. It has a mountainous backdrop but still enjoys panoramic views of
the Mediterranean sea. Orange and lemon trees stretch for miles around, lining every road.
Algorfa is a typical Spanish village full of tradition and culture.

The charming town square houses the town hall, police station and the church and as with
most Spanish villages it is the centre of the community - the location of many festivals,
fiestas and local activities. There are a few bars and restaurants but Algorfa is not a bustling
place, more of a peaceful retreat.

Around Algorfa there is a 19th century neo-gothic church (located just outside the village
on the road to Benejuzar). Very close to the town is the famous La Finca Golf Club with
it’s 18 hole, Par 72, championship course, opened in 2001 and designed by Jose Gancedo.
